SL/Donors for Lag Sufferers
I think there should be a central facility in SL where one can donate excess kilobyte-age to lag sufferers who need it. I would gladly share parts of me to those in need.
I can't possibly be using every bit (byte?) of me so why not give it to someone who can use it?
For someone on a clogged pipe, it could mean the difference between life and death.

And if you can figure out a way to optimize resources between servers like that, you'll be a very rich man. It might actually be possible in some weird way, though maybe not with LL's architecture.
Using LAG to fight lag?
What if we abolished all lag but a little bit? Sometimes in different games I need something to blame my low score on, and lag is handy scapegoat.
