SL/Real Estate

I have a sound effect in my inventory that I like to use for those situations when someone is away from the keyboard, or otherwise distracted. It is a weather alarm, with three ear-piercing beeping noises. Johnthomas used it on me when I was (Away) once, and I never forgot it. It is the easiest--if freakiest--way to summon someone quickly back to Second Life. I used it today on a real estate prospect, who drifted away as she stood on my property. Three blasts later she apologized, saying she'd been IMing friends and emailing acquaintances, and wondered what the weather was going to be like today/tomorrow.
I produced a storm cloud and wore it over my head. (Jenny made it for me.) The real estate market was soft, I told her. We ended up standing on the bottom land I'd sold a month earlier. "See that face" I said, pointing to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's face in the distance. "It greets us every sunrise in vibrant colors. The land is alive and special. Not to mention edible." I scooped up a handful and began eating it.
"You sick bastard," she said, backing up. "Let me call a doctor."
While waiting for the doctor, she explained that since my land had disowned me, basically, I was a "bastard," and since eating the land would surely sicken me, I was a "sick bastard."
True, I thought; beautifully expressed.
I mentioned to her the community pool. Surely it wasn't cursed, as far as I knew. It wasn't built on any burial grounds, either, except, due to the barbecue grill, it was a boneyard for countless chickens. "But that's because they were born that way--meaty," I explained. "There's nothing haunted about a departed chicken, either" I assured her (without her asking me to). Finally, I offered this rumination: "If only chickens weren't born with feathers to begin with..." At that point, I was thinking specifically about life without any feathers at all, and how much easier it would be. I expressed how much of a pain in the youknowwhat it was to render chicken apart from those pesky feathers. "Can we not just create a featherless chicken?" I demanded.
One of her IM friends apparently had an emergency at this point and she had to leave. I wished her well, but by the time "well" got out of my fingers, she was gone.
I wished her "well well" after she was gone.

SL/Spanish surrealism

A new friend, Waelya, invited me to her shop. While at the shop I invited my other friend, Ulises, to come by. As I was introducing those two, I realized that they were both from Spain. Naturally, they were delighted to hear this, so they began speaking in Spanish.
I politely asked that they continue to talk in English in front of me (which they did).
/
Later, Ulises remarked that he hadn't seen me at the pool lately, and I explained that since Milo has been a stud lately, we have been invited to a lot of clubs lately.

[9:43] Ulises Snook: what is a stud?
[9:43] Patric: a suave, cool individual, usually a man
...
Pappy sent out a challenge to locate this swamp monster and get a photo with it. The name of the monster had at one time been "Beeble Baxter" (when it was a Furry). But now that it was a monster, it was no longer a 'he,' apparently, and it was also without a name. So we'll just call it 'swamp monster.'
I let Ulises study Pappy's blog, thinking a Spaniard trying to decipher a hillbilly's dialect to locate a monster on Second Life was too good an opportunity to pass up.
To my surprise, Ulises had no trouble understanding Pappy's patois, and even suggested a few places we might find the monster.

[9:55] Ulises Snook: i get it
[9:55] Ulises Snook: i speak southern spanish
[9:55] Ulises Snook: :)
[9:55] Ulises Snook: so
[9:55] Ulises Snook: are looking for the swamp or waht?

[9:56] Ulises Snook: the swamp must be in a place with sea
[9:57] Ulises Snook: and cold
[9:57] Ulises Snook: that is what i think

...
The only swamp I know on Second Life belongs to my neighbor, LaeMi. She even has a swamp monster inhabiting it. I don't know if those two monsters would get along, though. But I can't rule it out.

Mom

Jenny introduced me to her mom (her REAL LIFE mom) named Sandi. Of course, Sandi and I got along famously, she being 45 and I being 39. Her job, she told me, was encouragement: she only shows up on Second Life to encourage her daughter--Jenny the builder. She is the official cheerleader of Jenny's company, ComPany. "ComPany Mom" is her title. She runs around on a unicycle, doing laps around her daughter who's building, shouting encouragement. It is quite a setup. Here is a picture of Jenny busy building, and Waeyla busy building, while Mom looks on from her unicycle.

SL/House cleaning

I sold some bottom land which long ago lost its beach and became the perfect viewing spot for, of all things, a gigantic banner of Iranian president Ahmadinejad's face.

Milo said he knew I sold the land because lots of things got returned to his Inventory automatically (based on the new prim count), such as the couches in the house (D). He also said most of Yet's cars in the driveway disappeared (B), as well as the pot farm donated by Jenny (A). I solemnly asked if Woody (C) had made it. Woody survived the cut, I was told. I told Milo that it was very unfortunate that this all happened, but it was probably fortunate that (D) happened.

In other news: Prize Pyle informs me he must sell the roads, as well as the community pool (because of taxes). This is sad news, but I plan on asking Pyle if I can buy his pool and shift it to my estate once the land underneath it sells. This way, the neighbors aren't deprived of their pool.

SL/On the loose

We had to hide in the sanctuary of the beach house after one of Jenny's beta elephants got loose.

Second Life/
I somehow ended up at a Yard Sale with Milo, my Serbian house mate, where we accidentally looked at beds.

I need to create a bed for straight men. It will be your basic canopy with a divider going down the middle.

Pets Wanted
I want a pet goldfish that follows me around.

Pets Wanted
Jenny came over and brought with her her elephant.

Jenny was kind enough to let her elephant use the trampoline.

The giant bong that Milo kept outside the house was the perfect size for the elephant (who knew this as well).

That there might be a car in the way didn't slow the elephant down as he charged the bong.

SL/Long neck

Jenny acquired some art
which makes your neck get extreeeemely long.
Disengaged from the art yet my neck won't quit!

SL/Catching Up
Don't be ridiculous, no one can see you right now.

You're fine...just aim.

Meet Darkshroom, proprietor of the castle next to Jenny's.

(Darkshroom is in front, his robot-butler is in background.)
His robot-butler is efficient and likes to guard the front door.
"I OBEY" in a metalic voice is heard quite regularly from Shroom's place.

If you make a move for the front door the robot will get in your face and fire a (non-lethal) gun at you. You stand there and take it until Darkshroom calls it off.
I've never made it to door without the robot-butler greeting me.

Second Life/Jenny's Place

At Jenny's place. She plans on uprooting her trailer when her lease expires (tomorrow).

The next day (today).
\
At Jenny's place with her new land and her newly-remodeled trailer.

A castle as neighbor.
Her neighborhood was missing something...

A dumpster was artfully arranged on her lawn to give it a 'lived in' feel.

Weeds were planted and grew overnight.

In fact, the whole place was lovely.
