Blogger Auto-Save feature (New)

Very nice feature. And oh-so unobtrusive.
I was going to "save my draft," like I always do, and discovered the "save" button already pressed for me! As you can see in the screenshot, Blogger is now saving the work for you (every thirty seconds) without you noticing.

Very cool for bloggers like me who live in Florida and have no battery backup system and occasionally have power blips due to lightning.

Update: 05/21/07
Also, another small improvement that shouldn't go unnoticed. Before, if you went to an existing post in 'edit' mode and changed your mind and did not edit anything, Blogger would still nag you with a popup: "Are you sure you want to navigate away from this page? You have unsaved changes." Now, Blogger can tell--somehow--that you didn't mess with your post--and leave you alone.

Vibes...

Someone asked me what the vibes were like here in Florida. I told him the vibes were incredible (and for me, essential).
Incredible vibes! Balmy and sunny and rainy and sandy. Hurricanes and Dolphins. It has both a strong Latin influence mixed with a decidedly Cracker influence. Blacks, whites, Hispanics, all living together. Jews and trailer trash. Baptists and Swamps and Space Shuttles. Three miles from where I live is the intersection of Ft. Harrison Avenue and Cleveland Street and that's where about a million Scientologists hang out.
Daytona 500 and Disney World. The Everglades and Lynyrd Skynyrd and Ray Charles and Jimmy Buffet and Princess Cruise Lines and sharks and a strong Canadian presence.
We also evacuate. In the meantime, we like our college football and sunsets (and sunrises) and spring breaks and foamy surf and giant cockroaches (NOT). We are home to lightning and pitbulls and pastel colors...

We like the vibes here, believe it or not, because there are about one-billion of them.
