SL/Evolution?

Milo had a new friend over to the pool. Except his friend only spoke Serbian, or so I thought.
That is, until I told him that he left his tail behind in pool.
"Fuck the tail" he said.
I was suprised; he did speak some English.
"I don't need it."
"You are going to be a furry without a tail?" Furries with no tails, or tails cut short, are frowned upon by other furries. Did he know that?
"Who cares?"
"?"

"mentol tail"
"menthol tail?"
"mentol tail"
"Ahhh, you mean mental tail. In other words, your mind still thinks you have a tail?"

Peace on Earth

Last Fourth of July, we listened to Ayo, a Serbian, sing (American) songs at our pool. These were love songs, mostly. I asked if she would be available this Christmas to sing patriotic songs. Yes, she said, of course.

I needed claificiation. "Our Christmas--the 25th, not your Christmas, January 7th," I said.

"Yes."

"Great," I said.

I can't wait to hear some Serbian-influenced American nationalist songs on the non-Eastern-Orthodox pagan-Judaic holiday known as Christmas.

It will be better than any gift I can receive.

SL/Pool Dance

She was Milo's friend, and she was in our pool. She was trying out a new dance! Part of this dance was holding her nose while she shimmied down until her head was below the surface. I think it will be the next dance craze!

SL/Retired Milo was Security/Pool Maintenance Man/Pot Farm ambassador

Since Milo's "retirement" I've no choice but to think seriously about what to do with my property.
One idea is to spread hot lava all over the place and walk away, since lava requires very little maintenance. If I return home and find someone's Inventory items have turned to goo, or, say, hot lead, I will know I've had a trespasser.
Another thing would be to install quicksand all over the place, or better yet, hot quicksand, because I'm told there is a lava-quicksand hybrid you can buy now, which is all the rage in totalitarian sims that have Pacific themes.
One of Milo's jobs was to maintain the pool, so now I'm stuck with a pool that's hosted approximately 18 parties in the past several weeks and hasn't been drained once. Three fat guys, furries, a host from Nickelodeon, chips, fountain coins, you name it, all have been in my pool, not to mention several good-looking women, and I'd like to keep the good-looking women coming back, so if you know someone with pool maintenance/medicine skills, send him/her to me, stat.
Any pool guests would have to be choppered in, thanks to the lava, so I am also looking for an experienced pilot. (Milo is costing more than he knows!)
I had wanted to get the pot farm so big it covered the entire sim. In fact, I wanted to expand it to several islands so that it would be required to have its own ambassador. Milo was to be that ambassador, but he never knew it, aside from this paragraph, so if you're reading this, Milo, you can have the 'ass' from the middle of that word ambassador, because you blew a good opportunity, sir.
Maybe now that Milo is retired he can be that ambassador, since ambassadors are usually retired folks. So if you're reading this, Milo, the job is still open.

SL/Real Estate

I have a sound effect in my inventory that I like to use for those situations when someone is away from the keyboard, or otherwise distracted. It is a weather alarm, with three ear-piercing beeping noises. Johnthomas used it on me when I was (Away) once, and I never forgot it. It is the easiest--if freakiest--way to summon someone quickly back to Second Life. I used it today on a real estate prospect, who drifted away as she stood on my property. Three blasts later she apologized, saying she'd been IMing friends and emailing acquaintances, and wondered what the weather was going to be like today/tomorrow.
I produced a storm cloud and wore it over my head. (Jenny made it for me.) The real estate market was soft, I told her. We ended up standing on the bottom land I'd sold a month earlier. "See that face" I said, pointing to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's face in the distance. "It greets us every sunrise in vibrant colors. The land is alive and special. Not to mention edible." I scooped up a handful and began eating it.
"You sick bastard," she said, backing up. "Let me call a doctor."
While waiting for the doctor, she explained that since my land had disowned me, basically, I was a "bastard," and since eating the land would surely sicken me, I was a "sick bastard."
True, I thought; beautifully expressed.
I mentioned to her the community pool. Surely it wasn't cursed, as far as I knew. It wasn't built on any burial grounds, either, except, due to the barbecue grill, it was a boneyard for countless chickens. "But that's because they were born that way--meaty," I explained. "There's nothing haunted about a departed chicken, either" I assured her (without her asking me to). Finally, I offered this rumination: "If only chickens weren't born with feathers to begin with..." At that point, I was thinking specifically about life without any feathers at all, and how much easier it would be. I expressed how much of a pain in the youknowwhat it was to render chicken apart from those pesky feathers. "Can we not just create a featherless chicken?" I demanded.
One of her IM friends apparently had an emergency at this point and she had to leave. I wished her well, but by the time "well" got out of my fingers, she was gone.
I wished her "well well" after she was gone.

We were at the shop to get a robot bartender for my pool.

The proprietor of the shop was a French man who didn't speak English. Thanks to a HUD called 'the Babbler,' we had no trouble understanding him:

Later at the pool that stick was brought out again by Yet. I noticed it was a stem, not a stick.

SL/Summer Holiday

For the 4th of July we were treated to Milo's Serbian friend Ayo singing classic American songs, streamed from her studio-sung mp3s on my hard-drive straight to the pool in Watarrka Park.
This is a pic of Ayo listening to one of her songs.

This pic is also evidence that Milo may have changed his hair style again.

I sold some bottom land which long ago lost its beach and became the perfect viewing spot for, of all things, a gigantic banner of Iranian president Ahmadinejad's face.

Milo said he knew I sold the land because lots of things got returned to his Inventory automatically (based on the new prim count), such as the couches in the house (D). He also said most of Yet's cars in the driveway disappeared (B), as well as the pot farm donated by Jenny (A). I solemnly asked if Woody (C) had made it. Woody survived the cut, I was told. I told Milo that it was very unfortunate that this all happened, but it was probably fortunate that (D) happened.

In other news: Prize Pyle informs me he must sell the roads, as well as the community pool (because of taxes). This is sad news, but I plan on asking Pyle if I can buy his pool and shift it to my estate once the land underneath it sells. This way, the neighbors aren't deprived of their pool.

SL/Milo expen$es

A wedding in Second Life, as it turns out, is expensive, just as in real life. The wedding hall for Milo's wedding, Milo informed me, costs a whopping 7000L$ -- a fortune to a struggling Serbian in SL.
Milo may eventually ask me to hold a benefit for him or something. This would be fun because we can finally see how many pixelated bodies we can cram into the neighborhood pool, as well as raise awareness for Milo's need for a relatively expensive wedding and very expensive honeymoon. This would be best done through a barbecue, I suppose. There is nothing like discussing an upcoming wedding around good barbecue.

The benefit would be poolside, and nudity would be a requirement since not only would it involve barbecue, but it would also involve volleyball. Women are strongly encouraged to attend!!!

We will be holding a "Sexy Watermellon Eating" contest, too.

SL/Serbian Friday night pool phenomenon

The Serbians met at the pool for the weekly "Friday night phenomenon." Afterwards, I discover no more hot water in hot tub. In fact, no water period.

One of the two dance pads were missing too. I accused Milo of stacking them on top of each other.

These Serbians apparently party pretty hearty.

Milo shows me this pic. Someone (possibly Angie?) is way overdressed. Milo has shaggy hair in the pic. In fact, every pic at the pool lately has Milo with shaggy hair. What is going on with Milo's shaggy pool hair? I think only Milo knows the answer to this question.

Meanwhile, there is a fascinating leg in this picture belonging to a famous Serbian celebrity named Ceca. Here is her picture in real life:
The guy in the (above) photo has a Scottish last name and Serbian first name. His name is IvanMilojkovic McMillan.
His tattoo dominates the photo because I wanted a picture of it. I asked him if his back tickled much when people took pictures of it. He said no.
One of the Serbians, later self-described as "bored," and whom I would describe as "drunk," began to heckle me and I was forced to leave the pool area.

This is where I ended during the last half hour, among dragons.

SL/(Neighborly) Vibes

That's a spicy meatball

The beach house with the UFO has attracted a diverse and lovely set of neighbors.

My longest-time neighbor is an Australian lady (Juko). Followed by an Israeli man (Simon). Followed by an American woman (Myth). Followed by, and I kid you not, a colony of French lesbians (on the south east corner). Of course, the pool is mainly occupied by Serbians, as is my house. A Dutch and two American woman also stay occasionally at the house. Same as a Brazilian guy (Erlon).

I am still looking for a certain lady in Texas to visit me, who I've never seen outside of 1st Life.

As far as I know all this makes sense.

SL/Bunny slippers smoking a joint at groin level

Sometimes when you enter Second Life articles of your clothing may end up on different parts of your body. This is due to something called the "Heisenberg uncertainty principle."

It happened to me recently, and Milo has a picture of it that he likes to show people at the pool.

Milo doesn't seem to notice that he is dressed as a woman in the photo (which to my knowledge is not caused by any sort of "principle"), and he even has a hand covering his mouth.

SL/It's a YouTube world

Socialbility scalability

Milo kept telling us different YouTube videos to watch [off-SL-line]. "Please watch them, they're funny."

I immediately thought of watching them with everyone else at pool. That would be HUGE.

Then the future. "We can watch YouTube videos together now," I imagined myself saying. "Think of the consequences."

SL/When hair falls out learn to belly dance

I went to the UFO during a costume change at Milo's party and my hair decides to fall out. Fifty trips to the UFO and nothing strange happens and now all of a sudden I lose my dreads? And my eyebrows, and my soul patch? Right in the middle of our pool party?
In my Inventory I have a bellydancer's costume that I knew would come in handy someday if I didn't get rid of it, so I return to party as though nothing had happened.
The veils do a decent job covering up the fact that I've lost my hair.

SL/Everything in pool

Yetrates showed up at pool with her futuristic aircraft just as I was kneeling in front of Angelaa on the air mattress.

It would be a huge environmental disaster for you to drain that thing in pool, I told Yet, not letting her know that each one of us had probably done it before.

Solving Disconnects
"I want to watch the next time you get disconnected to see if anything unusual happens."
---
Milo built a piece of plywood over me as I lay at pool. You can see my joint poking through the wood.

Then Milo added a strange-looking face to the plywood and the joint became part of the illusion.

---

It was startling, but I did get to see the return of the alien, this time riding a bicycle in pool.
