SL/Young Love

Wayne and Kimmy are a real life, as well as a Second Life, couple. I found out some fascinating details about their love lives...

They live together in real life (engaged to be married). He was in the living room as we spoke, she in the bedroom. Both of them could hear each other laughing.

He is 21, she is 20.

They admitted they have sex in Second Life. A lot. And it's enjoyable, too--as in real life.

Kimmy gave me a picture of a smiling Wayne and Kimmy in real life, as well as a blank-faced Wayne-Kimmy Second Life photo. I commented how the the Second Life photo seemed more naturalistic. JUST KIDDING. I asked them if they ever shared the same keyboard. Not yet.

They hang out constantly in Second Life. The only thing they can't do is teleport together. A bug that is still being worked on, I commented.

As it was midnight EST, I left them alone to dance @ Hooters -N- Shooters while I went to bed. They had the whole place to themselves.
Here is a picture I took of Wayne and Kimmy before I left.

Married in Second Life (and soon to meet in Real Life)

Endlessly Fascinating
The true story of a virtual married couple who have never met in real life, but soon will, thanks to a film crew documenting their lives.
"This is the story of when we joined Second Life, how we met, how we fell in love, and our plans to meet," said Ronda aka Heart Wishbringer on SLProfiles. "The film crews have been hanging out with us in real life filming us, and our families. It should be a very good series to watch. The great thing about it is, when we do finally meet, after having been married on Second Life for over 2 1/2 years, the entire thing is going to be filmed and on that website for the whole world to see."

Follow this link to see the film.

SL/Homeless Shelters

The morning was spent visiting the (suprisingly) many homeless shelters in Second Life.
Currently, I'm a property owner but I have a real fear of being homeless one day.

So I figured why not spend Sunday poking around places where I can crash if the economy goes haywire or a natural disaster like a real-life crash wipes out my home (or any references to my home).
So I visited the homeless shelters "just in case."

They ranged from good to good-enough-for-government to grimy. The only working refrigerator I could find, ironically, was in the grimy shelter. The "good" shelter had a painted-on version. Luckily, it had live turkeys running around otherwise its rating would be lower.

The grimy homeless shelter had intermittent gunfire and numerous casualties. But no ghosts. The "good" shelter, on the other hand, had zero gunfire and no casualties and one ghost. Go figure.

Some of the shelters had working railroad tracks but I didn't see a single train while I was there. I heard plenty of them in the distance. I think they all stopped at the next towns over.
At each shelter I was offered something to do with turkey. At the good shelter I was offered a real turkey. At the good-enough-for-govt. shelter I was offered a fake turkey. At the grimy shelter I was called a turkey.

This couch had a "fidget" poseball which made it look like you were trying to relax (hands behind your head, etc.), but meanwhile your legs were constantly moving and you readjusted yourself on the seat. For me, it was the perfect place while I sipped two real life double expressos this morning...
(The thing behind my head is a coffee machine I am holding.)

I teleport back to the house but Woody doesn't make it!
Then I rush back to the casino and Woody's not there either!
"Anyone seen an elephant?" I ask the zombies, rhetorically.

I quickly think of my pot farm which is in need of constant manure and I realize that my WOODY IS NOW MISSING.

SL/420/Ambient bar noise
My (future) bar will have a sound loop of keyboards clacking away. The same comfortable, familiar sound as a fireplace in real life.

Hey-Back Machine

In a busy club the 'heys' may come fast and furious. Eliminate hard feelings (or confusion) by automatically typing 'hey' to anyone who offers you one--no matter how faint they are. Never miss 'heys' again!

Stairway to Chicken

I saw this dude building this spiral staircase that was his homage to chicken.

Second Life/Discussion on sexuality, SL-style.

Here we are sitting on pillows like in ashram.

Two other people occupy my pillow while we listen.

We gain a lot of insight into the empowerment of women in SL. Women are, as it turns out, very stimulating, benevolent creatures and rl can only gain from their improvements.
SL certainly has.

Second Life/New Neighbors

I went to my beach property but my phone rang in rl so I sat on my rooftop to finish the conversation.

When I came to, I discovered the beach had grown quickly in the past twenty-four hours; new houses had sprung up overnight. Just yesterday the beach was completely empty (it was just me and the pool). Now it was a genuine 'thriving beach community.' I have neighbors left and right!

Time to show up with some housewarming gifts, I guess.
Except I have no housewarming gifts.
Someone should open up a business that sells housewarming gifts on SL.

My new neighbor Juko Tempel didn't take long to introduce herself. She was astonishingly beautiful and invited me over to her futuristic house. I was impressed with her furniture.

I told her it was very rude of me as a gentleman to sit down without her. I asked if I should stand up again so we could do it properly. She demurred. What a lady!

I told her I appreciated that her door made the same "shoooooop" sound as the one in Star Trek. No response. She changed outfits in front of me (sorry, no pictures) and we discussed the neighborhood pool. I told her I thought it was coming along beautifully. We chatted some more.

Finally she announced that she had to leave. I could find my own way out, I told her.

She told me to click on the door in order to shut it.

I told her I would.

Then I forgot to.

Then I had to go back to shut it.
